Trip North too Tulloch

17-11-16  Thursday half day a quick meet up at Penrith and we were heading North, the snow that was due caught us on the A9 pass and was coming down hard as we crawled along the Laggan road,to our base Tulloch bunkhouse

The next days Munros, for Lee Taylors campaign were on west side of Loch Treig.......Stob a' choire Mheadhoin and Stob choire Easain

The forcast had been for cold temps  -7c all day on high ground and snow showers so I decided to not camping on this trip,as its just to hard on my furry pal Oscar. So we stayed 3 night at Tulloch what a great place to stay, well worth a visit if bagging in the area

Up early we were fed and ready at Fersit for a little before 7am fog and low cloud floated around but it looked like it would clear once the sun started to get up

Snow depth was 6" from the car but once on the hill it was near knee deep with sections over waist deep on the small face you have to get over before your travel along the main ridge

The pull up onto Meall Cian Dearg was as steep as last time I was here and in places was waist deep, soft snow...progress was slow...but with two of us swapping lead the load was shared

It was turning into an above average winter day out :)

The Grey corries were looking fantastic

We were lucky to catch a few brocken spectres and a nice fog bow too !

The Creag meagaidh group were also looking fantastic under a blanket of white

Bit photo heavy but was a great day,now much wind around -4c  -5c  But thick cloud shrouded hills towards the Benn

Heres a video I did of the two days  ill write the blog up  for Day 2 next....  thanks for looking......Safe travels Peter and Oscar
