So after 2 long months of relentless rain and flooding, its been a long two months since ive had a wild camp. The forecast was dodgy with two lows sat over us,but Matt had a rare wknd off and Lee was free,so we decided to give it a go

A short video of the trip

Due to road closure problems lee and matt were a little late the weather started about 40 mins after we set off wet snow followed by snow.Think we hit the clag just before Red tarn and a day of thick clag followed and stayed with us over the Crinkle crags,it did clear at Three tarns so we decided to call it a day and pitch

                                Two Trailstars and a Duomid

Sadly the weather came in around 5 pm and by 7 was blowing 30's with gusts over 50 mph.....mixed in was either rain, sleet or snow and this continued all night
A shouted chat and we decided to pack up around 6 am with us leaving at 7 am..Two people taking each shelter down at a time we carefully navigated from our camp down to Three tarns and the path off,Goggles and head torches very much appreciated

With an early finish we stopped for a breaky at the cafe above the shop in Chapel Stile, and very good it was too
